Oklahoma City Newborn Photography – Baby Ezra’s Cinematic Arrival
September 23, 2018
In my newborn photography sessions, I get to capture memorable images of your sweet babes, and I love to hear the stories of all that led to this moment!
Every baby makes his or her way into this world in their own way, and sometimes the journey turns out much different than the way that even their own siblings came!
This little guy arrived in his mama’s loving arms swiftly on an evening she thought would be filled with nothing more than a fun evening of “manicures” with her girls at home.
Meet Ezra Eames.
“It was the night before school pictures at our girls’ learning center, and they decided to paint their nails. I sent Dru to Target for nail polish remover and cotton balls. While he was gone, Eva ran up and gave me a big hug. My water broke. It was the cinema style, dramatic example of water breaking.”
In previous births, Courtney had prolonged contractions before her water broke. “And we still had a week and a half [before the due date]. This was a shock!”
(Those rolls! I’m dying.)
Courtney’s husband Dru rushed home, and her doula and mom started on their way over as well.
Just 6 hours later, the Monks’ sweet baby boy had arrived.
I love hearing about how you picked your littles’ names. Courtney and Dru were so thoughtful with their decision.
“Our girls have “E” names, so we knew this baby would as well. We didn’t know gender, so it was a wonderful surprise! Ezra means ‘helper’ and Eames means ‘prosperous protector’. It took us about 36 hours to land on a name, but it’s a perfect fit.”
Courtney’s looking forward to watching Ezra grow into their beautiful family. The best thing about parenting to her? “Watching your kids learn and discover new things. Listening to their songs, prayers and stories.”
“Knowing that we’re making memories and forging traditions.”
Welcome to the world, Ezra Eames. You are so loved.
