Oklahoma City Birth Photographer | Happy Birthday Baby C! VBA2C
April 11, 2013
I knew mom was in early labor, so I packed my gear, got my babysitters on call and began to wait for the big call. The day and evening went by while mama worked through labor at home. I sat down to my computer the next afternoon just to get a call from dad. His voice was so calm. “Well” he said, “we’re at the hospital and she went from 4cm to 10cm pretty quickly.” I immediately jumped up, my mind was racing! “She is 10cm?! Ok, I’m going to get off the phone and get there as soon as I can!!” His voice was still calm, telling me it was ok and that I didn’t need to rush. It’s my worst fear ever that I will miss someone’s birth so I was rushing like crazy! My babysitter arrived in about 5 minutes and I was on my way. Thankfully I made it in time!
As I have mentioned before, I’m a VBAC mom so VBACs are always so emotional for me! This mama was having a VBA2C (vaginal birth after 2 cesareans). She was so amazing and was successful! I’m so happy for her and her new sweet family. I dare you to keep dry eyes while looking at these!
He is here!!!
“I did it!!!”
Mom & Dad with their doula 🙂
“Hi mom!” I love this shot so much.
He just loved looking up at his mama. He was so calm immediately after birth. He didn’t really cry or fuss at all. He just wanted to stare into mama’s eyes 🙂
This is another favorite. Oh, so sweet.
Excited big brothers!
THANK YOU for asking me to be here to photograph this miracle, I am so privileged to be your Oklahoma City Birth Photographer.
