Letters to our sons | Mustang, Yukon, Oklahoma City Child Photographer
November 4, 2012
I decided to participate in a “blog ring.” Several fellow photographers and I decided to write a letter to one of our children. It’s called a blog ring because I will link to the next person’s blog at the bottom of this post. You can follow the ring and it should bring you back here! Check it out if you feel like reading sweet messages from moms who love their babies 🙂 I will preface this by saying, I’m definitely a photographer not a writer, but it comes straight from the heart <3
Cooper,
I hope you know you’re my everything. I hope you know that every time you say, “Mommy, come play with me” my heart melts a little more. I want you to know that you changed my life. Before you were born, I never knew how much I could love someone. Sometimes I feel like my heart is going to burst out of my chest. The gift of having you as my son has taught me of God’s infinite love. I cannot imagine loving someone more than I love you… and He loves us even MORE than that. Unimaginable. Thank you for teaching me that lesson.
You bring color to my life. I love to watch you learn, you are so smart. You make me a better person in every way. Everything that I do, I do it with you in mind. I will never stop loving you. My love for you grows more each day… something I didn’t think was possible. I hope you know the highlight of my day is seeing your face first thing in the morning, your red puffy cheeks and sleepy eyes saying, “Good morning mama.” I look forward to every night that you ask me to come snuggle in bed with you as you fall asleep. My favorite moments are watching you tucked into your Buzz Lightyear bed, with your action figures surrounding your bed and you give my hand a little kiss and say, “I love you. You’re my best friend.”
I hope you know how much you changed my life, and how thankful I am that you’re my son. You’ll never know how much I love you, but with words I can say that I love you all the way to the moon… and back.
