Baby Phoenix was in a HURRY! Thankfully, he waited for me to get into the room (about 10 minutes, or less) before he decided to make his appearance. If you saw someone running across the parking lot at Mercy hospital that day… it was me. Nothing like “she is about to start pushing” to light a fire under me!!

The spirit in the room when I walked in was so joyful and calm. Everyone happy and eager to meet this little baby (especially his two big sisters).

This was one of those photos that stopped me dead in my tracks when I saw it for the first time. Nothing posed or staged about it. Just a mama loving on her 2 babies.

It is such a joy when mom’s book me early in their pregnancy because it guarantees I get to be there to photograph it! I’m so honored to get to do this work and show the beauty and joy in each and every birth!!
