I was standing in Target with my husband and 3 kids. “Drop what you have and let’s get to the car!”

I rushed into this mama’s peaceful birth space, worried I would hear the cries of a newborn. Instead, I heard the roar of a mama working hard to meet her baby. Her birth team was sitting beside her, smiling, nodding, encouraging her….

The birth tub was filled, affirmations hanging in the windows… Mama didn’t want her husband to leave her side. After working hard for hours, this mama finally got to meet her daughter and exclaim, “I did it.”
Thank you for inviting me into your birth space Brittany. It was such an honor to be in the room to witness your strength and power during your VBAC.
